Undeniable evidence: the impact of COVID-19 on Lesbians in Europe and Central Asia

Join us Tuesday 9 March 2021 at 2pm-3.15pm to celebrate INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY 2021 with a panel discussion on “Undeniable evidence: the impact of COVID-19 on Lesbians in Europe and Central Asia”

The All-Party Parliamentary Group on Global LGBT+ Rights, the EuroCentralAsian Lesbian * Community (EL*C) & Stonewall Equality invite you to celebrate International Women’s Day 2021.

We will discuss the early research findings of EL*C’s extensive survey on the impact of Covid-19 on lesbians (individuals and groups).  The COVID-19 pandemic is not just a health issue, it is a profound shock to our societies and economies. Lesbians are finding themselves in the midst of this global crisis.

Since March 2020, the EL*C has collected testimonies to support their fight to meet the needs of Covid-19 on lesbians and launched a survey with now well over 3000 contributions.  They will share their early research findings from lesbians and lesbian communities across Europe and Central Asia and invite a discussion on strategies to address their needs and rights.
